Custom software development

When spreadsheets and off-the-shelf tools stop fitting, we build the internal tools, portals, and platforms your work needs, one useful release at a time.

Outcomes

What changes

  • The tool follows your process

Screens and rules match how the job runs, so people stop working around their software.

  • One current record

Work scattered across sheets, inboxes, and chat moves into one place everyone can trust.

  • Slips get caught early

Required steps, checks, and permissions live in the system instead of in someone's memory.

  • It can change when you do

Tested, documented code lets new rules and features land without starting over.

Deliverables

What you get

  • Process map and product brief
  • Clickable prototype of the key screens
  • Data model and system design
  • Tested software, with source code in your repository
  • User roles and permissions
  • Connections to the tools you already use
  • Data moved over from old systems and sheets
  • Deployment setup, documents, and training

Process

How it runs

  1. Map

We sit with the people doing the work, trace how it really runs, and agree what the first release must do.

  2. Prototype

You click through the key screens before they are built, and we change what does not fit.

  3. Build

We work in short rounds. Each one ends with working software your team can try.

  4. Roll out

We move the data across, train your team, release in stages, and hand over the code and documents.

Questions

Worth asking

Should we build this or buy something?

Buy if a product already does the job, and we will tell you if one does. Building makes sense when the way you work sets you apart, or when you keep paying for workarounds on tools that almost fit. Sometimes the right answer is one small tool that connects what you already have.

Can you replace our old system in stages?

Yes, and it is usually the safer route. We move one workflow at a time and keep the old system running beside the new one until your team is happy to switch it off.

How long will it take, and what will it cost?

Both depend on what the software has to do, so we do not guess on a first call. Mapping the work gives us a defined first release, and we estimate from that.

Will we be tied to you once it is built?

No. You get the source code and documents, so your own team or another developer can pick it up. If you would rather have us look after it, we can agree that separately.
